Froginwell Vineyard & Cider Barn
The wedding of Matt & Amy.
You know when you just click with people... This job sees me working closely alongside people, its so important that you get on and the newlyweds feel comfortable with me hanging around. I share your most special moments and by the end of the day I also get to see different relationships and personalities. I loved photographing Amy & Matts big day, they are such a great couple full of fun, the type of people where you know where you stand with them, they weren't nervous in front of the camera and really let their characters show.
We started the day at the family home and Anneke my 2nd shooter was joining the chaps at 'the guys house'. I like to have a good 2/3 hours doing the morning prep, gives me a chance to find my feet and my flow and I feel its so important to start off the story from the beginning. We had a laugh in the morning with Amy & her bridesmaids until it got to the nitty gritty and we were soon rushing out the door... I love that part. The calm and then the reality...'eek I am about to get married' kind of panic!
The whole day was being held at Froginwell Vineyard, a relatively new venue on the outskirts of Exeter, but boy is it stunning. First time working here but I really hope it won't be the last. I have a feeling this venue is going to be very popular in the future. Vineyard/ciderbarn/vintage chic/outdoor ceremony. It really has it all.
The ceremony was lovely, full of emotion and feelings surrounded by their nearest and dearest.
Throughout the day I caught glimpses of how Amy & Matt feel about their friends & family, feelings run deep and it was lovely to see how much they were all together.
After the speeches we headed out into the vineyard to make the most of the venue, its always nice to do this after the meal so they are more relaxed and we got some lovely shots as the sun was coming down. It finished off the day perfectly.
Thank you to you both and congratulations to you, Albie & Stan. Here is a small preview of your day x
