The Corn Barn, Devon

Total perfection.

The wedding of Jo & Gareth saw me working at The Corn Barn, a stunning venue in Devon where you have the freedom to make the place your own.

I was contacted by Jo after a recommendation and they booked without meeting me...always lovely when someone books because they like my work and trusted me based on word of mouth. They weren't too keen on the whole bridal/groom prep and hours of photography in the morning but I talked Jo into having a quick hour of shots... I am so pleased she agreed. It doesn't have to take long in the morning, as long as I can catch the final moments an hour can be enough !

We headed off to the venue and the atmosphere in the courtyard was already buzzing with all the guests having drinks and catching up with each other.

We kept the photography relaxed, it was easy to disappear in amongst all the guests and I hope the whole feel of the day shines through in the images.

Gareth & Jo had invested a lot of time and thought into planning the day and the look of their wedding. It all looked absolutely stunning, what a job well done. Most definitely a photographers dream!

We didn't have a list of group shots, we just went with it and got minimal formal shots after the meal which worked so well. No pressure, no shepherding guests around...just really chilled photography :)

The weather was perfect and the sun was setting just as I took the couple off for their newlywed shots, ALWAYS my favourite part of the day.
