BerryHead Hotel

Carl & Tracy

This weekend saw me being spoilt and shooting a wedding at a fantastic venue. I have never worked or been to Brixham... thats a lie actually...only on a school trip 25 years ago. But being only down the road I should go more often. The venue is right on the water with an amazing view where you can see the harbour, the fishing boats and the dolphins!

I arrived at midday to start photographing Carl & Tracys big day, they didn't want the whole 'getting ready' shots and that was fine. It is completely up to the couple what they want on their day and was nice to photograph a wedding from a different angle and for them to make it their own. You don't have to have the full day package and its refreshing when couples choose what they want :)

I nipped up to Tracys room just as she was getting her dress laced up and captured some lovely moments just before she went downstairs to meet Carl.

Carl works in the Navy so was suited and booted in his uniform looking very smart. Im sure all the other hotel guests heads turned when Carl & his fellow naval colleagues walked in :)

The ceremony was proper emotional! Bernie their dog ran down the aisle first towards Carl & Tracy followed with her brother.

Its always lovely to see the couples emotional with each other... those who look at each other and hold hands... it makes great shots haha but more importantly is what it is all about. BE YOU.. x

The guests had a fab afternoon outside with drinks and THAT view. The majority of the guests had travelled quite far from around the country so it was a mini break in a fab coastal location for everyone.

I was staying until after the speeches so I took the couple off around the grounds for a bit just to get those all important personal shots before everyone headed in for the wedding breakfast.

It was a wonderful wedding, intimate and full of fab people.

Thank you Mr & Mrs Murphy.. lets do it again next week.

Here is a small preview x
