Sidmouth Harbour Hotel

Dave & Jo

What a wedding to finish off an amazing month! I have had the craziest summer season to date, the busiest September which I now can't believe its over. I have been spoilt with wonderful new venues, beach weddings, farm weddings, church weddings, barn weddings... some intimate, some MASSIVE.. the best parties and the most emotional ceremonies.

My last wedding of my summer season was Dave & Jos, held at The Sidmouth Harbour Hotel. Filled with close family & friends, church bells and tears and finished off with the amazing Swing Kings to get the party started.

I arrived early to capture the girls getting ready in the hotel, my 2nd shooter Sarah was with the chaps in Seaton making sure they didn't miss out on all the attention :)

It was a wonderful relaxed morning... Jo was obviously really excited to be getting wed, there were no nerves to be seen! The room was lovely, the girls had a fab decking area outside with amazing views across Sidmouth. The lovely ladies from Changing Faces were busy glamming the girls up, the prep was in full flow!

Since having my little girl, I seem to cry at almost everything. At weddings there is always a moment or two where I can feel myself going... I think I can imagine how the parents are feeling when they see their child getting married... crikey in 20 years plus I will be a wreck at the front of a church or venue sobbing! Jos father Martin was getting ready next door and they met on the decking to have the big dress reveal. Emotional overload.

The ceremony was being held at Sidmouth Parish Church in town, a year ago I worked here and it is a fab church to work at. The vicar is very relaxed with the photography and we were able to snap away to our hearts content. The ceremony was lovely, Dave was overcome with tears when he saw his bride walk down the aisle. It was truly a special moment.

The guests made their way back to the hotel after the ceremony whilst we sneaked off into Connaught gardens to get some lovely images of the two of them together. I have never been to this part of Sidmouth before but I will definitely be going back for shoots. The views are something else.

The running theme of the day was rugby, both of them big fans of the sport so it was subtly brought into the day. The rugby ball centrepieces were fab as was the video that was put together for them by Exeter Chiefs. Another special moment they will never forget.

Congratulations to you both, Mr & Mrs Clapp. Your day rocked from start to finish!!

Here is a small preview of your day.. ENJOY!! xx
