The Oak Barn, Hittisleigh

I was really looking forward to photographing Emily & Shanes big day for many reasons... I had always wanted to work at The Oak Barn which is a fabulous venue and I had heard all about the unique styling they had planned. The words 'Robin Hood, hanging ivy, fairy lights and sparklers' were all music to my ears.

The whole day was being held at the Oak Barn, I headed to the venue nice and early as the girls were well underway with their preparations! The bridal suite is spectacular.. it really is one of the best I have seen and Emily just looked right at home as she was being pampered!

The venue is a host of barns, suites, cottages and little sheds.. It is a photographers heaven and enables the couples to have all their family and friends there dressing the venue and staying the night before. Shane was right next door, the whole vibe was pretty chilled :)

I really hope my images speak for themselves... I am not normally speechless when it comes to writing my blogs but I do think my images will do the talking about how amazing this day was.

The ceremony was gorgeous, full of emotion and laughter as Emily & Shane said their vows underneath a gorgeous archway.

When the 'I do's' were said, the guests headed outside for canapés & prosecco... we held off doing any formal shots for a while as everyone was so happy just enjoying the moment and the company around them.

Just before the meal, I stole them away for a bit to capture them having a walk around the grounds, we were spoilt for choice with all the photo opportunities... hay bales, stone barns, fields, the sunset... We could of gone on and on!
