My last wedding of 2017... and it ended with a fabulous one! It has been a crazy year, I am forever grateful to have the job I have (I call it a job but it never feels like work) and it is lovely to share so many couples special day. I never take this honour for granted so thank you!

We rounded of our year with the gorgeous wedding of Mike & Lauren at The blessed Sacrament church & Reed Hall in Exeter. I only met them a few weeks before the wedding at their pre-shoot... it is always heartwarming when couples trust my work and book me without meeting me... makes me feel like my work speaks for itself and the recommendations have gone a long way. Word of mouth is the best advertisement :)

My equipment was packed, the ice scraped from the car... I made my way to the bride & her girls early in the morning. The sun was low, we were ready for a chilly winter wedding. I love all the seasons, I can never say I prefer one over the other in regards to shooting weddings. They all have a different feel which in turn gives my images a touch of variety. I love the colours, the bouquets and the added touches to a winter wedding. Mike & Lauren chose a classic look, icy blue, boleros, gorgeous flowers in the girls hair.

The ceremony was being held at the family's church, a church that has so much meaning and holds so many memories and moments for them all. Don't we all love a good romantic church wedding?! It was informal, personal and just looked so beautiful.

The weather was on and off in the afternoon... we had rain, bright sunshine and then hail BUT we got our chance and headed out into the sun for some lovely shots around the grounds at Reed Hall. They both looked wonderful together, my job was very easy and we were surrounded by the best wedding gardens in Exeter. This is a fact! I love Reed Hall, you are spoilt for choice and its lovely to take the newlyweds off where we can't be seen or found just for them to have those all important 5 minutes !

The day was full of emotion but more importantly full of love... Such a lovely lovely couple. So thank you Lauren & Mike x
