Bickley Mill
Steve & Janet
The wedding of Steve & Janet will always be memorable one... this fabulous day will stay with me forever. It was all touch and go at the end of the week due to the worst snow storm we have seen in years and we all did not know if the wedding would go ahead. I had reassuring and determined emails from Janet so I knew they were moving heaven and earth to get there to the end of the aisle :)
Saturday morning arrived and I had a peek out the window with a 'eek whats the situation?!' and although the main roads looked better my car was well and truly stuck ! A quick phone call to Father and I was trekking up the road in pursuit of his 4x4. 50 yards of digging the snow out to get to the main road and I had a car! I was on the move and en route to THE WEDDING!
It was fab how all the guests made the effort to travel from all around the country.. it really was just heartwarming to see.
I was especially excited to shoot in the snow.. a first for everything. Arriving at The Bickley Mill I did a silent scream when I saw all the snow still settled on the hillside.
We had a lovely morning during all the prep, Janet & Steve were surrounded by their closest friends and family, the prosecco was flowing and they looked happy and relieved it was all coming together as planned :)
The day was beautiful, the emotional ceremony ( thanks chaps ), the entertainment they booked was amazing - the guests were blessed with the voice of Yazzy Chamberlain, the stylish decor, the gorgeous dress & ultra smart suits. All totally perfect!
We managed to dodge the pesky rain to be able to get outside and get some photos in the gardens amongst the snow, an actual treat for me.. I could of done this for hours.
Congratulations to the lovely Mr & Mrs Haynes, it was a pleasure to be a part of your day.. and thank you for pushing through it and getting to your wedding day! Memorable x
