Ashcombe Village Hall x

Martin & Jemma

I love it when couples know exactly what they want from their day and it turns out how they imagined and more. I was so impressed with how Jemma & Martin planned their day... from the lavish suits to how they decorated their gorgeous venue to all the little surprises in between. I may just be the photographer but I always love being a witness to all the special moments that all of you remember for years to come. I remember them too... I have a mind like a sieve about everything else in my life but when it comes to weddings I seem to have them all etched in my memory.

I met Jemma & Martin at their pre wedding shoot in Dawlish Warren, the first time we met started with me getting them to put on the PDA right away... Straight in there! We had a great photo shoot and we clicked almost instantly. Such an easy going couple, I loved how they were having an intimate wedding day and their plans sounded fab.

They are both from Dawlish so I headed down nice and early to capture the bride & the groom getting ready... the two morning venues were a stones thrown from each other so I nipped between the two houses ... we can't leave the chaps out can we!

The two houses both had a very different atmosphere...the girls were calm, music on, everyone all relaxed. In the mens house I could feel the nerves kicking in :)

The ceremony was held at the local church in Dawlish, as churches go it is a pretty spectacular church... light, spacious with beautiful grounds all the way around it. We stayed around the area for a while after the ceremony taking the family photos and then we wandered off into the gardens afterwards. The weather was a funny one on Saturday, blazing sunshine and then rain and then back to sunshine again. We took our chances and got the best results !!

The afternoon ceremony was held at this amazing hidden gem in Ashcombe. I almost don't want to tell anyone about it as it really is something special... and I see a lot of venues! It is the local village hall right out in the sticks but the most rustic village hall ever. Imagine wooden beams, drapes, fairy lights, gorgeous new decking decorated with wild flowers and a view to die for.

I was so so impressed and was just perfect for an intimate wedding.

We had a wander out in the fields before the meal and then captured all the guests kicking back and enjoying this wonderful day.

Proper perfect !
