The heart of summer and I was treated to a fabulous wedding at Froginwell Vineyard on the outskirts of Exeter. I last shot here a couple years ago and since then they have made some great changes. The venue is outstanding and I thoroughly recommend it to any couples searching for the perfect place.

I first met Rob & Nicole at their pre-shoot earlier on in the year, they don't live in the south west so travelled down to have some lovely images of them both and a good discussion about their plans :) We clicked straight away, they are such a lovely couple and in turn they were joined by their equally lovely friends and family at the weekend.

I joined Nicole early Saturday at a house she was staying at in Teignmouth with her family..the house was perfect was shooting the prep in.. 6 bedrooms and room for a pony I was in my element. Her parents, nieces and nephew and 3 sisters & partners were all getting ready so the house was buzzing with excitement!

We all headed up to the venue at midday where Rob was patiently waiting for his bride... I must now comment on the Groom & Groomsmen suits. They all looked amazing. Rob was looking slightly nervous out in the vineyard with his chaps but was soon joined by Nicole walking down the aisle.

I love it when a couple make their wedding personal, I am very much a believer in having the wedding your way whether it be cutting out certain traditions and making your own. Rob & Nicole had their ceremony outside with their friend conducting the ceremony... own vows, lots of love and lots of laughter, the ceremony was perfect.

The guests hung out in the vineyard for the rest of the afternoon, in fact the rest of the day! The weather was on form, the canapes from The Pickle Shack were doing the rounds and the fizz was flowing. It was such a lovely atmosphere and just so very intimate.

I stole them both away later on for a stroll around the grounds, we kept it casual and just let their love do the talking.. you can see how easy it was for me as the photographer!!
