Darren & Sarah

Rockbeare Manor

Back at one of my favourite venues again this weekend shooting the wedding of Darren & Sarah...Rockbeare Manor is a grand venue near Exeter with amazing grounds who are obviously doing it right!

We had weather warnings planned all week for Sunday..who would of thought we would have bright sunshine most of the day resulting in a gorgeous sunset.

I arrived mid morning to capture the girls getting ready... the bridal suite is stunning at Rockbeare and perfect for those prep shots. The vibe was chilled most of the morning... I love seeing the different emotions throughout the morning... from relaxed, to nervous, to emotional. I think Sarah hit all of these at some point. We had the laughter and the tears and the 'I actually feel alright' moments :)

I flitted between Sarah & Darren who was getting ready downstairs in the billiard room.

The ceremony was my most favourite part of the day, I love it when my couples put on a lot of PDA but these two were so in tune with each other. Just what a photographer wants!

The guests all went out on the lawn for drinks and canapés, we did a few group shots and I managed to get them both off away for a few private moments. This time is so important, not only for you both to just get away for a while and just enjoy each other but also for me. As a photographer that prides myself on being discreet and relaxed all day, this time is for me to give you those creative images, the time I get to put my art into the photos and give you photographs to always treasure. These are the ones you will most probably put up on your wall so trust me, go with it and enjoy. Cherish your wife/husband in those moments and this fly on the wall over here will document it.. always make use of me as this day is a one off :)

As an added bonus my 2nd photographer Sarah kindly joined us later on in the afternoon to get more guest shots and extra moments for the couple.

The afternoon reception and evening flowed right into each other... the styling in the reception room was utterly beautiful, so simple but so beautiful. The cake especially stood out, we voted on it being the best cake this year.

The sunset (yes a sunset..who would of thought) was so strong early evening so I persuaded Sarah & Darren to go out again.. we just got there before it disappeared and what a sunset it was.. we were totally blessed.

Eventine was the band for the evening.. the drinks were flowing and as usual they got the dancefloor packed out :)

Congrats guys.. Here is a little preview of your day xx
